The Becoming of the Spirit: The Samadhi

The Kundalini Rising

The energy, as it unties the knots of the subtle body takes a three-fold transformation.

First, widespread and restless at the base of the hips. Second, warm, subtle and calm at the space of the heart. Finally, absolute and so powerful inside the brain.

The Kundalini, as pointed and sharp as the head of the needle, shall crawl its way up through the neck and the moment it pierces through the ears, it becomes so thin and absolute with a mind of its own. At this point, the senses lose most of their control over the physical.

This stage is critical. Breathe suddenly and the confinement bursts. The mind wanders and gets distracted, the senses return. Then, everything shall be lost and the student would have to start the long process over again. My advice is to let it go. There is always the next session.

The various Bandhas work together to keep the organs functioning, otherwise, the person might collapse. The Kundalini shall continue its ascent as its two wings flood both sides of the ears with a loud deafening sound and a tingle of electrical current.

From there, they will pierce through the hemispheres of the brain and shall creep up and down, harnessing more power from the core of the hips. The whole of the body from the feet up to the head shall be covered with electricity. A burning force of the Kundalini gathers right at the very centre of the forehead between the eyebrows tickling the frontal lobe of the brain. While this happens, a soothing cold line of electricity could be felt passing through the backs of the throat and up to the top of the head. All these electrical sensations shall then unite at the crown.

Interesting, the crown is not the topmost point of the head but around two inches below it and a few inches higher than the tip of the forehead. At the crown, they become one powerful vibrating current (feels ecstatic, actually), it feels like its drilling a hole in the skull. One could feel the soul (consciousness) exiting the body.

The breath ceases intermittently. The Bandhas and the understanding of the meditator of the whole experience shall keep him alive. He has mastered his breath so powerfully he could allow himself to die, consciously in a wakeful state. He is so experienced and confident on his way back, so he explores further until he crosses his limit. Without a well-developed set of Bandhas, trying to go deep into this realm is irresponsible for it could hurt his vital inner organs.

As this happens, the mind could wander around places, spin, connect with other subtle energetic forms, see its host body and its energetic equivalence do two different things at once.

He knows and acknowledges his limitations so he could willingly and easily get detached from this euphoric experience. Beyond this is not wise. He needs to go back for him to share this beautiful spiritual journey.

Meeting the Soul

The trance shall reach its peak and everything stops. The mind would go blank. All it could see are two planes of shades. The white covering the horizon at the top and the black below it. The image is akin to seeing a bright eclipse. The sound takes a deep, humming transformation.

Sometimes, the sound of a bell could be heard ringing in even intervals from the upper right corner of the head. Its like a choir singing from afar. Most of the time though, the sound is ringing in the left hemisphere and low and flat in the right hemisphere.

All of these happen almost simultaneously. The whole experience lasts quickly too, a few minutes tops.

There are so many roads leading to the same intense energetic absorption. Some people are so gifted they are naturally sensitive to subtle energetic manifestations. Although, my take is that we could manage it more effectively if we learn it from scratch.

I chose the path where I have a platform to work on. The physical body is that instrument. The body is the dwelling of the spirit. When practised intently, Kundalini Awakening could happen whether through pure concentration alone or by following a process which starts with the tangible elements such as the physical body.

So what happens after the trance?

The meditator shall return to his old body. However, he shall never see the world the same ever again. His priorities could change. His life goals could even take a complete turn around.

All of life's mysteries are realities hidden behind the senses. The senses are so busy filling in our perception with shallowness. The realm beyond it is empty yet vast. It is dead but pulsating. The physical world shall decay but this reality is eternal. It is the absolute form. It is the Soul. Pure and Divine. It is the Spirit. It is God.

He could just slip in and out of the trance whenever he meditates. Personally, it is just a new dimension which could be learnt and cultivated throughout self-practice. There is nothing so superpower about it.

The most meaningful about it is that it answers a lot about our true nature. Once or twice is enough though. Only death could allow us to finally get united with the source. There is no separation once the body dies. If it does not happen this lifetime, the energy shall just continue to the next. There is no way but to get there. Too much attachment to anything could lead to a painful downfall. It is the effect of this profound experience over our spirits which lasts forever.
